For business owners
Your Business. Your Neighborhood.
For Good.
AllHold helps you sell to a trust that keeps the business,
the building, and the jobs in the neighborhood, and pays you a fair price.
What AllHold does
A different kind of exit
Most small business owners don't have a succession plan. When they're ready to step back, they close the doors, sell to a chain, or hand it to a family member who may not want it. AllHold offers a fourth option: transition the business into an Employee Ownership Trust, where the people who built it with you become its permanent stewards.
How AllHold covers it
Securing the real estate, whoever owns it today
When you own your building, we bring the business and the real estate into the trust together, so the property can never be sold or leased away from the business later. When you lease your space, we either negotiate with the current property owner to acquire the real estate, or relocate the business within the same community or corridor to a building that is for sale. We walk through both before deciding.
A capital stack built for this, not improvised
We combine what the business can support directly, real estate financing from our ecosystem partners, and AllHold's own capital to close the gap between what a deal costs and what you need to exit. For a smaller purchase price, AllHold and partner financing alone are sometimes enough. For a larger one, a seller note — you financing part of your own exit, repaid from future profits — often makes the deal work. We size the structure to what the business can realistically carry.
Technical assistance, not just financing
We deliver hands-on support to the business and its new worker-owners — governance (how decisions get made, and who makes them) training, financial literacy, and leadership development — so the trust is set up to succeed.
Questions owners ask us
Yes. AllHold pays the higher of standard market value or a place-based (rooted in a specific neighborhood) valuation that credits the business for the jobs and services it provides the neighborhood. The price is never higher than what the business can realistically afford to pay back, which is what keeps the deal from burdening the workers who take it over.
